We are looking for Halal Slaughter-Persons to work all year round in our poultry processing plant based in Bell Block, New Plymouth.

The role involves working two weekly alternating morning (starting 03:00am)/evening (starting +-11.45am) work patterns Monday to Friday, online, in our Primary department.

To be successful, you will need to be:

• Either a qualified Halal Slaughter-person or have the ability to meet the Halal Qualification criteria set by NZ Islamic Development Trust
• Devout Muslim
• Physically fit
• Able to meet basic English language and numeracy requirements
• Able to legally work in NZ

All applications are required to undergo literacy testing, a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol screen.
